The Quill Process

From first conversation to launch.

Five stages. Nothing moves to the next one until the work in front of it is agreed.

The stage rail is painted with padlocks on the later stages. That is a mock state in the supplied render, not a restriction: every stage on this page is readable in any order.

Process stage

Choose a stage.

One process. A clear role for everyone.

Across all five stages, three things stay separate: what Quill does, what your team does and what comes out the other end.

  • Quill Runs the stage, asks the questions and produces the work.
  • Your team Supplies what only you know, and makes the decision at the gate.
  • Deliverables What exists at the end of the stage that did not exist before it.

Begin with the business, not the deliverable.

Stage 01

Before anything is designed or built, the business is understood: what it does, who it serves, and what currently costs it time.

A seven-item discovery checklist and a discovery brief card are painted in this band. The supplied map records their geometry but not their text, so no checklist item is published as live copy.

Build, connect, and review in working parts.

Stage 04

The system is built in pieces you can look at, with a review loop around each piece rather than one review at the end.

  • Revise The piece is changed against what the review found.
  • Approve The piece is accepted and the next one begins.
  • Human review Human review before every release. Human review — To Verify

The review loop has five steps. Two of them, Revise and Approve, are published above. The remaining three step labels are not recoverable from the supplied artwork and are being confirmed with Quill; they will be published once they are confirmed. No label has been guessed, and the kanban card text painted in this band is placeholder lettering rather than copy, so none of it is published.

Release with a plan.

Stage 05

Launch is a checklist and a decision, not a date that arrives. What happens after launch is agreed before launch.

  • Launch approval Nothing goes live until the client and Quill confirm readiness. Launch approval — To Verify
  • Handoff Files, documentation and access are handed over as scope defines them.
  • Review meetings Decisions are made in scheduled reviews and written down, so the project moves on a record rather than on memory.

The painted call to action reads "YOUR THE LAUNCH CHECKLIST" and the review meetings body carries a stray "Anmation." The live control reads Tour the launch checklist and the stray word is not published.

The painted heading reads "PROJECT READINES." and one field label reads "Deating Tinis"; the live text reads Project readiness and Desired timeline. Four entry cards and six readiness radios are painted in this band, but the supplied map records their geometry and not their labels, so none of them is published as a live option.

A six-row frequently asked list is painted above this call to action. The supplied map records the rows but neither their questions nor their answers, and no answer is written here on Quill’s behalf, so the list is not published until the approved copy exists.

To verify before this page claims it

The supplied artwork paints figures, dates, names and statements that this build has not been able to confirm. Nothing on this list is published as fact until Quill confirms it.

  • Section 06 is partly unreadable in the supplied artwork. Three of the five review-loop step labels are degraded past reading and the kanban card bodies are placeholder lettering. Only Revise and Approve are published. Source copy is needed; it cannot be recovered from the pixels.
  • The RIGHTS & OWNERSHIP list in section 08, "Approved Final Files", "Documentation", "Access Handoff", "Source Materials as Defined in Scope" and "Clear Usage & Ownership Terms", is a contractual claim. It is carried as supplied and is not published as a Quill commitment until Quill confirms it.
  • Four painted approval statements are carried as supplied and need confirmation before they read as policy: "Nothing goes live until the client and Quill confirm readiness.", "Human review before every release.", "Your team confirms that Quill understands the work before design begins." and "You approve the direction and scope before full production."
  • The six-row frequently asked list in section 09 paints questions without answers, and no answer is written here on Quill’s behalf.
  • The hero paints "FIVE STAGES, THREE APPROVAL GATES, ONE PROJECT LEAD" as a claim about how every project runs. The three gates named on this page are the map, design and launch approvals; confirm that the count and the gates match how Quill actually works.
  • The supplied map records the geometry of the seven discovery checklist items in section 03, and of the four entry cards and six readiness radios in section 08, but not their painted labels. None of them is published as live copy.
  • The painted footer year glyph is soft: "© 2026 Quill Productions" is the reading, but 2025 is not fully excluded. The band is suppressed and the real site footer renders instead, so no year from the artwork ships.

Corrected in the live text

The artwork is published exactly as supplied. Where it paints a misspelling or a wrong number, the live text beside it reads correctly.

  • Section 04 paints "understnads". The live text reads understands.
  • Section 05 paints "Your approve the direction". The live text reads You approve the direction.
  • Section 07 paints a call to action reading "YOUR THE LAUNCH CHECKLIST". The live control reads Tour the launch checklist.
  • Section 07 carries a stray "Anmation." inside the review meetings body. It is not published.
  • Section 08 paints "PROJECT READINES." The live heading reads Project readiness.
  • Section 08 paints a field label reading "Deating Tinis". The live label reads Desired Timeline.
