Connection labels
1. Select a provider and a bounded workspace 2. Inspect proposed actions and actual results 3. Keep reviewed changes and useful notes
Blue lines indicate manual/local workflow steps. Purple dashed lines indicate a separately configured connection, which may include human gates; they are not claims that the entire path is unattended. Orange indicates review/refinement. Core diagram mode: manual.
Supporting tools
- Model provider: Supply supported model access.
- Git: Track local changes and checkpoints.
- Docker: Optional isolated terminal backend.
What to check
- Workspace identity: Confirm the folder and profile.
- Action scope: Review enabled tools and permissions.
- Verified result: Run the relevant project check.
Optional extension
- Messaging app: Receive a request
- Hermes gateway: Authenticate access
- Provider model: Reason about the task
- Allowed tools: Perform scoped work
- Run review: Inspect the result
Optional gateway extension. Configure its platform credentials and allowlist only after CLI chat works. Restrict tool access; a messaging connection should not imply unrestricted terminal access.
Lean starter
Hermes + one provider + a small Git workspace. Add skills, gateways, or MCP only for a named need.
Example
Read-only repository overview → choose one small task → inspect actions → test and keep a Git checkpoint.
