Build a small browser-based prototype and test it before publishing.

BEGINNER / CLOUD BUILDER

1. Set the stage

Use a Replit account and a tightly scoped idea. A prototype can be useful without a database, login, or payment integration.

1. Open a new project

Sign in at replit.com. Start a new app or website using the creation options available in your account.

2. Describe the outcome

Give Agent one user goal, the required controls, and observable acceptance checks. Say which features are outside the first version.

3. Inspect the preview

Test the actual inputs, buttons, and empty states. Request one improvement at a time and keep a working checkpoint.

4. Prepare publication separately

Review hosting, secrets, and any backend requirements before publishing. Reopen the deployed URL; a working editor preview is not the live site.

2. Lean working stack

| Stage | Role | | --- | --- | | Brief | Define the scope | | Replit Agent | Build a prototype | | Preview | Exercise controls | | Human review | Approve publishing |

Arrows in the visual sheet show the order of work. External connections require separate setup. Optional tools may be replaced with ones you already use. This is a suggested stack for this task, not a universal optimum.

Keep the first app local in scope

Use synthetic data or in-memory state for a first exercise. Label it honestly so the demo does not imply permanent account saving.

Add services after the core works

Only add storage, authentication, or email after the main interaction is verified. Review usage and deployment costs before enabling them.

3. First practice task

Build a practice checklist app with add, complete, and remove actions. Use in-memory sample data, show a helpful empty state, and make it keyboard usable. Do not add login, payments, or email.

Your setup is working when

All checklist actions work in Preview, the state model is clear, and you know what resets on reload before publishing a demonstration.

Troubleshooting

Blank preview? Read runtime logs. Lost data? Check the stated storage model. Extra features? Restate the bounded scope and review the diff.
