Turn a focused idea into a tested interface before adding backend services.

BEGINNER / BROWSER BUILDER

1. Set the stage

Start at lovable.dev with one small app goal. The first useful interface does not need production accounts, payments, or customer data.

1. Create your workspace

Open lovable.dev and sign in. Start a new project in the intended workspace and check its current build-credit allowance.

2. Write a bounded brief

Describe the audience, main task, pages, visual style, and acceptance checks. Use sample data and state what should not be built yet.

3. Test the generated interface

Use the preview to exercise every key control. Check keyboard access, narrow layouts, and return actions; refine one issue at a time.

4. Keep & publish deliberately

Use available version or Git-sync options to preserve work. Review data access and hosting settings before using Publish and checking the live URL.

2. Lean working stack

| Stage | Role | | --- | --- | | Brief | Specify the app | | Lovable | Build the interface | | Preview | Test the flow | | Human review | Approve release |

Arrows in the visual sheet show the order of work. External connections require separate setup. Optional tools may be replaced with ones you already use. This is a suggested stack for this task, not a universal optimum.

Prototype is not persistence

A form appearing on screen does not prove it saves anything. Confirm the data model and error behavior before promising operational features.

Connect only what is needed

Start without extra services. Add the supported backend or Git integration when the project needs it and permissions are understood.

3. First practice task

Create a studio service selector with three choices and an editable project brief. Keep state in this page session only. Show the selected service clearly and preserve the answer while switching views.

Your setup is working when

The selections and answers behave as specified, the page fits a narrow screen, and the described storage model matches what reload actually does.

Troubleshooting

Broken flow? Give exact reproduction steps. Unexpected backend? Review the requested connection. Missing feature? Check workspace access and plan.
