Gemini Setup Guide
Free
Use your Google account to turn a business question into a useful plan.
BEGINNER / BROWSER FIRST
1. Set the stage
Start with Gemini in a supported browser. Feature access can differ between personal, work, and school accounts.
1. Open & sign in
Go to gemini.google.com. Sign in with an eligible Google account; managed accounts may need their administrator to enable access.
2. Start a focused chat
Enter one clear goal, audience, and format. Add a small file only when it is relevant and you are permitted to share it.
3. Review available controls
Check activity and account settings. Use the default model selection to begin; choose another available mode only for a reason.
4. Verify & keep the plan
Ask a follow-up and check the important facts. Copy or export the approved result to your own document, where available.
2. Lean working stack
| Stage | Role | | --- | --- | | Gemini | Draft the plan | | Google Docs | Edit & organize | | Source files | Check the facts | | Human review | Approve use |
Arrows in the visual sheet show the order of work. External connections require separate setup. Optional tools may be replaced with ones you already use. This is a suggested stack for this task, not a universal optimum.
Connect deliberately
A Google sign-in does not mean every business file is automatically available. Review any requested connected-app permissions.
Make the output measurable
Ask for milestones, owners, and acceptance checks. Mark estimates and assumptions rather than presenting them as verified facts.
3. First practice task
Create a four-week training plan for a five-person studio learning AI. Include a small weekly exercise, a useful deliverable, and an acceptance check. Label assumptions and keep paid tools optional.
Your setup is working when
The plan has specific weekly outcomes, fits your constraints, and is saved in a document you can edit and use outside the chat.
Troubleshooting
Access blocked? Check account eligibility. Missing files? Add the intended version. Vague plan? State team size, time available, and goals.
