Build and render a small branded 3D scene from a clean starting file.

BEGINNER / DESKTOP 3D

1. Set the stage

Blender is a 3D creation tool, not an AI model. Start with the official installer, a supported computer, and one simple scene.

1. Install & launch

Download Blender from blender.org for your operating system. Install or use its official portable option, then open a new General scene.

2. Set up the workspace

Choose a readable interface scale and input preferences. Save a named .blend file before modeling; keep the default scene for practice.

3. Build a simple composition

Move and scale basic shapes. Add a material, light, and camera. Use a simple backdrop and one clear focal object.

4. Render a small test

Choose an available render engine and modest output size. Render a preview, check framing, then save both the .blend and exported image.

2. Lean working stack

| Stage | Role | | --- | --- | | Blender | Model & render | | Image editor | Finish the image | | Asset folder | Keep versions | | Human review | Check the result |

Arrows in the visual sheet show the order of work. External connections require separate setup. Optional tools may be replaced with ones you already use. This is a suggested stack for this task, not a universal optimum.

Start without add-ons

Learn navigation, transforms, materials, lighting, and saving first. Add an AI or production extension only when you can name its benefit.

Tune quality gradually

Make a small render before increasing resolution or samples. Use GPU rendering only when your hardware and selected engine support it.

3. First practice task

Make a small brass-and-teal desk sculpture from basic shapes. Add one key light and a camera. Save the scene, render a test image, and confirm no part of the subject is cut off.

Your setup is working when

The saved scene reopens, its camera shows the complete subject, and the exported image matches the composition you intended.

Troubleshooting

Black render? Check lights and camera. Slow render? Lower preview settings. Missing texture? Relink or pack the required assets.
